Dorothy Jean Utt

Dorothy Jean Utt, 80, of Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Morgantown Health and Rehab.

Dorothy was born on August 31, 1942, the daughter of the late Jefferson and Freda Kerns.

Dorothy enjoyed camping, gardening, Mountaineer basketball, sightseeing and going to church.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Raymond Jason Utt and wife Suzanne; her son, Jeffrey Todd Utt and fiancé Rhonda Black; her brother, Dennis Kerns and wife Mary Virginia; her grandchildren, Christyn Rodeheaver and husband, Randy; Heather Utt and spouse, Christine Wiktorowski; Alyssa Wean and husband, Jordan; Shelby Hall; and, Olivia Hall; her great-grandchildren, Aryn Rodeheaver, Charlytte Rodeheaver and Lucy Rodeheaver; her nephews, Casey Kerns and Dusty Kerns.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Raymond Clarence Utt; her brother, Gerald Kerns; and, her brother, Michael Kerns.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Saturday September 24, 2022, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Rev. Wanda Brosky officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
