Dorothy Sproul Wilson died January 3, 2013 in Greenville, SC. She was born on December 11, 1922 in Ohiopyle, PA, a daughter of Robert and Chloe Sproul. A veteran of World War II, she taught in Pennsylvania and West Virginia schools until her retirement in 1983. Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Celesta Frum and son-in-law Terry Frum of Greenville, SC; a daughter-in-law, Dottie Wilson of Herndon, VA; two sisters, Eunice Randolph, and Ruby Durany and brother-in-law John; three grandsons, Richard Wilson and his wife Kerri; Timothy Wilson and his wife Joy, and Gregory Wilson,and his wife Jennifer, seven grandchildren; sisters-in-laws Aimee Sproul, Roberta Sproul and Dorothy Friend, and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1986; her stepson Richard Gale Wilson; one sister June Siefken; and four brothers Wentzel, Wade, Jennings and Ed Sproul. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Thursday, January 10th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Dorothy's name please be made to Lutheran Hospice of the Upstate, 429 North Main St., Suite 3, Greenville, SC 29601.
