Douglas Bradley DeWitt, 54, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Monongalia General Hospital He was born in Morgantown on December 4, 1958, the son of Norma Jean Pyecha DeWitt of Morgantown and the late Paul DeWitt. Douglas was a 1977 graduate of Morgantown High School. He was a electronic prepress-specialist with the West Virginia University Printing services retiring after 35 years of service. He loved gardening and cultivating flowers and was especially talented in computer design. He was very friendly and loving and took care of his mother and grandmother and was a good friend to many. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother David Allen DeWitt of Parkersburg; sister Donna Sue DeWitt of Charlotte, North Carolina; nephew Justin DeWitt, Joseph DeWitt and wife Beverly; great nephews; Aidan and Ian DeWitt and Tyler Honeycutt. Also he is survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, his maternal grandparents, Hazel and Mike Pyecha; and his maternal great-grandparents Mike and Julia Pyecha. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, Friday, August 9 from 6-8p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 10 from 9:00a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00a.m with Rev. Dr. Timothy J. Allen officiating. Burial will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery.
