Edna Royce

Edna F. Royce, 91, formerly of Outlook St., Morgantown, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Sundale Nursing Home.Edna was born in Morgantown on January 13, 1920, the daughter of the late Albert Nicholson and the late Lilly (Sturchell) Nicholson.Survivors include two sons, Ken Royce and his wife Patricia and Edward L. Nicholson and his companion Alice Ludwig and one daughter Judy Joseph, all of Morgantown as well as seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth G. Royce, a son-in-law, Dale W. Joseph, and several brothers and sisters, making her the last surviving member of her immediate family.Edna was a graduate of University High School and a member of the Granville Pentecostal Church. Along with going to church, she enjoyed qulting and spending time with her family.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 9th and again on Wednesday, August 10th from 1 PM until the 2 PM funeral service. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Morgantown.
