Elaine Katherine Dodd

Elaine Katherine Dodd, 81, of Parkersburg passed away on Wednesday, January 5, at her home surrounded by family and her furry companion Emmy.

Elaine was born on March 30, 1940 the daughter of the late John and Helen Andrews.

Elaine enjoyed being a member of Greek Orthodox Church, the GOYA and the Rainbow Girls Club. She studied business at West Virginia University. She was belovedly known as "Granny" and devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent much of her time cooking and rocking babies.

Elaine is survived by her daughters, Helen McCray, Katherine Lott and son Donald Dodd Jr. and his wife Sharon (Brogan), three grandsons, Ronald Lott Jr., Michael Lott, and Lee Dodd, seven granddaughters, Angela Wood, Mary Busch, Michaela Richards, Madonna Buegel, Alexis Cook, Katherine Dodd and Abigail Dodd and fourteen great grandchildren Alayna, Mason, Branson, Sophie, Max, Maclaren, Braxten, Harper, Bella, LeeAnna, Ryatt, Bo, Remi, and Claira.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Dodd, Sr., sister Lydia Andrews and great grandson Henry Richards.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Fr. Jon Emanuelson officiating.
