Erna Atkinson

Erna Marie Atkinson, 85, of Kings Rd., Cheat Lake, and formerly of Wheeling, WV died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at her residence after an extended illness.Erna was born in Wheeling on March 22, 1926, the only child of the late Emil Troutman and the late Emma (Scheer) Troutman. Mrs. Atkinson is survived by her husband, William Atkinson and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.Mrs. Atkinsonâs husband is honoring her request for cremation. No public services are planned. After Mr. Atkinsonâs passing, their joint inurnment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling. Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown is in charge of the arrangements.
