Esta A. Steinmetz, died on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at her home in Brookhaven. She was born October 28, 1921, in Lebanon County, PA, the daughter of the late Jacob and Alice Binkley. She was a Jehovahâs Witness for sixty-five years and was very active in bible teaching throughout the Morgantown area. A special highlight of her life was being a religious volunteer at the FCI (Kennedy Center) for thirty years. She will be remembered for many fine qualities including her love for people, an ever present smile, never meeting a stranger, a gift for conversation and for being everyoneâs grandmother. She is survived by her four children: Marilyn A. Lucke, Kent A. Steinmetz and wife Angelle, Karl M. Steinmetz and wife Janet and Faye L. Steinmetz. She is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four great step-grandchildren and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-two years, Thomas C. Steinmetz and a granddaughter, Karla M. Steinmetz and a son-in-law, Jack Lucke.The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude for the many kind and loving friends who assisted in the care of Esta as well as for the skillful and kind care of the staff of Morgantown Hospice. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahâs Witnesses at 379 Smithtown Road, Morgantown on Saturday, July 14, 2012 with Donald Stull officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm.Inurnment will be held at the Richland, PA Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
