Etta Lovinda Jacks

Etta Lovinda Jacks, 94, of Cumberland, MD passed away on Friday, August 15, 2024, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Etta was born on January 2, 1930, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Catherine Ford.

Etta was a nurse for 24 years in Cumberland, MD. In her free time Etta enjoyed gardening, taking part in the church, cooking, and had a love for flowers. She was involved in the women's auxiliary and also took part and helped organize numerous fundraisers for the church.

Etta is survived by her son Jonathan Jacks-Hamaker and his spouse CJ Malko and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Etta is preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 60 years Rev. Ralph E. Jacks; four brothers, Samuel Ford; James Henry; Carl Floyd; and Alex Ford; and two sisters, Mimmie Ford and Iona Childs.

A graveside service will be held at the Ford Family Cemetery, Birch Hollow Rd., Cheat Lake, WV on Thursday, August 22, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Russell Liller.
