Francis King

Francis Leroy King, Jr., 73, known to all who loved him as "Shooter", went to Heaven to be with God on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 12:55 AM in Panama City, FL. He passed away gently and gracefully, and as he took his last breath, was surrounded by angels and our Lord, Jesus Christ. He was born in Morgantown on April 8, 1940, a son of the late Francis Leroy King, Sr., and the late Thelma Violet Moore King. He is survived by his only daughter, Lora Lynn King; his two previous wives who still loved him to this day, Macil F. Chandler and Barbara King; four sisters, Thelma Riggelman Shirley Lewis, Helen Carrol and Marion Mayhew; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim, Frank, Robert, George and John King and his sister Virginia Hart Family and friends are invited to celebrate Shooter's life at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Saturday, October 26th from 3-7 PM, Sunday, October 27th from 3-7 PM and Monday, October 28th from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA. Brief parting prayers will be offered in the funeral home on both Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27tth at 6:45 PM to conclude the visitation.
