Gary Dale Fazenbaker

Gary Dale Fazenbaker, 69, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Morgantown, WV, on April 10, 1952, son of the late Dale M. and Gertrude Fazenbaker. He was “my families” world, a kind man who had many friends and knew no strangers. Gary leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Sandra Miller Fazenbaker of Morgantown; two sons, Dale M. Fazenbaker, II from Morgantown and Larry DeBerry of Kingwood; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ray Ryan of Indiana; two nephews, Tim and Michael Ryan and their family in Indiana; grandchildren, Oaklynn, Hanna, Abbey, Jacy, Cayden, Gunnar, Grayson and Garrett. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Patty Fazenbaker; one daughter, Natasha M. DeBerry from Clarksburg who passed away in 2020. Gary also leaves behind his two Boston Terriers, Bleh and Baby of which he adored as well as special friends, Barbie and Jake. Gary worked and retired at the Radiology Department at Fairmont General Hospital after 26 years. He was a master mason, and a member of the AF&AM Joseph W. Summers Lodge #173 since he was 19 years of age as well as an avid toy train collector for many years. We are all so heartbroken of the passing of Gary. He will be forever known as a wonderful husband, Dad, Pap and brother. To sum it up best, he was one of a kind. I know my husband knew how much we loved him, and “Please, Gary, help me to live without you! Fly high, my love of my life, and be sure to give Natasha a hug for all of us…’til we meet again”. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery. The Joseph W. Summers Lodge #173 AF&AM will conduct ritualistic masonic services at graveside.
