Gary H Green

Gary H. Green, 66, of Greensboro, Pa., passed away on February 26, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W Va., after a brief hospitalization.

Gary was born, with his twin, Gordy, on November 24, 1957, sons of the late Franklyn and Mary Green (née Keeney).

Gary enjoyed times and fond memories with his family members and friends during many visits and phone calls. His love for Oldsmobile Cutlass was evident while he owned and proudly drove several model years from his teen years until his passing. He loved to build scale model cars for many decades and proudly displayed them in his homes and in photos he sent out.

He graduated from Grand Island High School, near Buffalo, NY in 1975 and then served in the US Army for four years, spending nearly two years in Germany. Gary reminisced about special times he spent with people he loved and for many years, he assisted friends and family members with moves, repairs, advice and shared a sense of humor that will never be forgotten.

Gary is survived by his son Nick (Amy), son Philip (Kale), sisters Linda Strait and Laura Curry, brothers Frank (Barbara), Dan (Dana), sister Marnie Whitt (Ed), many nieces and nephews, and his ex-wife Jan (née Taylor).

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by oldest brother Jim, twin brother Gordy, and sister-in-law Charlotte. He visited Jim and Charlotte's gravesite at Arlington National Cemetery last year.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV 26505 on Saturday, March 16th, from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 pm with Pastor Junius Lewis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ruby Memorial Hospital to support the amazing staff who took care of him before he passed.
