George Ice

George Edward Ice, 58, of Kingwood Pike passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 at his home. He was born October 13, 1955 in Morgantown, a son of the late Charles Edward and Jean Louise Dailey Ice. George was a member of the UMWA and had twenty five years of experience working in the coal mines, especially at Martinka Mines. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, fishing and hunting. Most especially, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. George is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda Sue Bennett Ice; children, Ben Ice and his wife Michelle of Bruceton Mills, Rocky Ice and his wife Ashley of Grafton, and Rachel Marie Ice of Morgantown; two grandchildren, Troy Douglas Viola and Rocky Edward Ice, II; and his brother, Tom Ice of Morgantown. In keeping with George's wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home in Morgantown and there will be no public services.
