Georgia Frances Wiley

Georgia Frances Wiley, 94, of, Morgantown, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 23, 2015. She was born in Clendenin, WV on November 10, 1921, the daughter of the late Chlodion Chipps and the late Mary Leota (McClain) Chipps. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morgantown. She graduated from Morgantown High School in 1940. She was a homemaker and mother for many years before working at the Farmers and Merchants Bank from which she retired in 1976. She then worked 6 years at Chyleen’s Day Care in Morgantown. Georgia is survived by her sons, Ronald Alltop of Parkersburg, David Alltop of Richmond, VA; her daughter, Shirley Poe of Flint, MI; and step-son James Wiley of McMurray, Pa; fifteen grandchildren, thirty four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Edith Satterfield of Morgantown and her very dear cousin and close friend Mabel Phillips of Morgantown; nieces, Judith Majeskie of Centreville, MD; Sharon Smith of Morgantown; Susan Moore of Punta Gorda, FL; and Lana Cooke of Morgantown. . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Rev. Herbert Alltop and James Wiley; daughters, Barbara Newell and Brenda Bucher; brothers Carroll Chipps and Darrel Chipps and her sisters, Rita Peterson and Ruth Bolyard; nephew, Eric Peterson, Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Monday, December 28th from 3-6p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, December 29th from 10a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11a.m. with Pastor Travis Alltop officiating. Interment will follow at Valley Bend Cemetery, Belington, WV.
