Gerald Ray "Jerry" Kerns

Gerald Ray "Jerry" Kerns, 70, of Fairmont formerly of Morgantown, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015, at his home after an extended illness He was born in Morgantown on June 11, 1945, the son of the late Jefferson Andrew Kerns and Freda (Powell) Kerns. He was a member of Church of Christ in Whitehall. Jerry was a loving dedicated husband, father and grandpap. He loved spending time with his family at Big Bear. Jerry is survived by his wife of 41years Bonnie Jean Hoover Kerns; daughters, Melissa Barrett and husband Bruce, Cheri Boyles and husband Jason; grandchildren, Brittaney Kelly, Kyle Kerns, Damion Godfrey, Lily Barrett and Aiden Barrett; brother, Dennis Kerns, sister, Jean Utt and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandchild, Kaine Godfrey and brother, Michael Kerns. A private graveside service will be held at Chapel of Tranquility at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
