Harold D. Crowe passed away December 1, 2013 at Sundale Nursing Home after a long battle with a heart condition and several other ailments. He was born September 23, 1927, a son of Norval D. Crowe and Draxie Baker Crowe of Little Falls, WV. He attended schools in Morgantown and worked several places including dairy farming and the railroad, the last 42 years at H.C Baker Hardware Company in Morgantown. He was a veteran of The Korean Conflict as an Army medic. He attended Goshen Baptist Church until his health declined. He later attended Mountain Chapel Church. Harold was also involved with Pisgah Cemetery for many years serving as president of Pisgah Memorial Society. He enjoyed helping others. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Leoan, a son Randy D. Crowe and his wife Mig, a grandson Steven Crowe and his wife Monica. Also, a sister, Connie J. Caravasos and her husband James. Two nephews, Mark and Michael Caravasos. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 1-3p.m. and 5-8p.m. Military Pass and Review will be held at 5:00p.m. Wednesday by VFW Post 9916.Visitation will continue on Thursday, Dec 5 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00am with Pastor Dan Meadows and Pastor Damon Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery, Monongalia County, Smithtown Road, Morgantown, WV. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated by Pisgah Memorial Society, Inc. c/o Connie Caravasos, 341 Laurel Street, Morgantown, WV 26505 or the church of your choice.
