Harry Raymond Pratt Jr

January 26, 1935 — September 5, 2023

Harry "Skip" Raymond Pratt Jr. passed away peacefully on September 5, 2023, surrounded by the love and care of his family. Skip enjoyed a loving marriage to Jacquelyn "Jackie" Ryan Pratt for 66 years. While at WVU, Skip was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. After graduation, Skip went on to have a long, fulfilling career at United States Steel Corporation as a practicing chemical engineer where he did research to advance the steel making process in the United States and around the world.

Skip was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1935, and son to Harry Raymond Pratt, Sr. and Mary Catherine Walters Pratt. He is survived by one brother, Gerald "Gerry" Burnell Pratt, married to Connie Herring Pratt.

Skip has two sons, Harry "Skip" Raymond Pratt, III, married to Tamara Harding Pratt, and Gregg Alan Pratt, married to Amy Fowler Pratt. He also has two grandchildren Kyle Pratt, married to Anna Kimberling Pratt, and son to Skip, and Ava Elisabeth Pratt, daughter to Gregg.

Throughout his life, Skip enjoyed boating and waterskiing, playing golf, and trying his luck in a casino now and then. He and Jackie also loved to travel, having been on 45 cruises and nearly every continent.

Skip's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his beloved family and all the memories made together.
