Helen Mae Annonio McCord, 95, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Windy Hill Village of Kingwood surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Morgantown on July 25, 1920, the daughter of the late Luigi Annonio and Elizabeth "Bettina" (Cesta) Annonio. She was a great wife, mom and grandmother. She loved life and having a good time. Helen enjoyed people and spending time with her family Helen is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Jack) Fowkes and Janice (Joe) Pride; grandchildren, Lori Ann Pride, Joseph (Autumn) Pride, John (Lindsay) Fowkes, Paul (Noell) Fowkes, and Tony (Lindsey) Fowkes, brother, Donald (Faye) Annonio. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Paul G. McCord; sisters and brother, Angelina, Tony, Julia and Nancy and her niece, Georgianna Simoneau. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Friday, March 18th from 4-8p.m. A Scriptural Wake service will be held with Sister Nancy White at 7:30p.m.to conclude the evening service. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, One Guthrie Lane, Morgantown from 10a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at the church with Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati, STD, VE as celebrant. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery.
