Helen Marie Selensky

Helen Marie Selensky, 100, of Pursglove, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at her home.

Helen was born on September 27, 1924, the daughter of the late Samuel and Marina Osecky.

She enjoyed playing bingo, camping, sewing, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates, WVU Mountaineers, and the Steelers. Helen had a special love for caring for others, especially her beloved sister, Mary Hughes.

Helen is survived by her daughter and devoted caregiver, Marianne Selensky; her cherished grandson, Christopher J. Selensky and his wife, Jenny, who was also a special granddaughter and caregiver. She is also survived by her son, Paul Andrew Selensky Jr. (Charlotte); her sister, Chris Godfrey (Don); and niece, Ruth Godfrey. Helen is also survived by grandchildren, Theresa Selensky and Paul Andrew "Andy" Selensky III; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, and Hunter Bartlett and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Andrew Selensky, Sr.; her son, Edward Paul Selensky; her brothers, Sam Oskecky, Tomashka Osecky, Peter Osecky, William Osecky, Benny Osecky, and Stanley Osecky; and her sisters, Mary Hughes, Stella Wotring, Ann Lomenzo, and Patricia Osecky.

In accordance with Helen's wishes, cremation arrangements are being provided by Hastings Funeral Home.
