Howard Albert Hall

Howard Albert Hall, 87, of Kingwood Pike, Morgantown, died Monday evening, March 30, 2015 at home. He was born in Morgantown on April 18, 1927, to John David and Christina Belle (Berry) Hall. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. He retired from Humphrey #7 Mine in 1990. Howard is survived by his wife, Hazel Blosser Hall. They would have been married 68 years on April 5, 2015. Also surviving are their daughters, Charlotte Dalton and husband Roger, Maxine Titchenell and husband Troy, and Jackie Hall; granddaughter Cassie Grimes Stealey and husband Rob; grandson Parker Hall Grimes and wife Cathy; great-grandchildren Austin, Coby and Cierra Stealey, and Parker, Cadence and Malia Grimes. He is also survived by sisters Dixie Blosser and Mattie Kennedy, and sister-in-law Isabelle Hall. He is predeceased by four brothers, Clell, Clark, Guy and John Jr.; five sisters Edna Woody, Grace Dalton, Florence Davis, Hazel Davis and Patsy Hertzog; and grandchildren Jeremy and Alicia Hall. The family would like to thank all of their friends and neighbors, the Covenant Church family, and Pastors Nathan Williamson and Sean Wightman for their love and support throughout his illness. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Thursday, April 2nd from 4-8 PM. On Friday, April 3rd, Mr. Hall will be moved to the Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church on Greenbag Rd. where he will lay in repose from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastors Nathan Williamson and Sean Wightman officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on the Kingwood Pike.
