Howard Feathers

Howard J. Feathers, 81, of Morningside Way, Morgantown, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010, at Monongalia General Hospital.Howard was born in Morgantown on May 19, 1928, the son of the late Howard A. and Anna Jetta Pearson Feathers.He was a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church. as an administrator. After retirement he worked for Pat Stewart Reality. He is survived by his son, Howard Robert âBobâ Feathers and his wife, Robin of Centerville, OH, his grandsons, Robert Allen Feathers and Matthew James Feathers, a step-granddaughter, Heather Littrell and husband Jason, and a step-grandson, Shaun Phelan and his girlfriend, Tiffany Mays, he is also survived by his sisters, Rev. Violet Petso of Morgantown, Dorothy Lachner of VA, Betty Shook and husband, Carroll of NC and Pauline Parsons of NC, friends, Dave McClure, Debbie Lattanzi, Steve Dennis and best friend Lisa Novak along with 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Cain, and brothers, Roscoe and Ernest Parsons and John Parsons.The family would like to extend their thanks to Morgantown Hospice and the staff on the 5th floor at Monongalia General Hospital for all their loving care and support.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 2-4pm on Sunday, February 21. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 4pm Sunday, with Rev. Michael Atkinson officiating. Cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 12noon on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown with full military honors.
