Joan Loughry Dalton

Joan Loughry Dalton, 89, of Morgantown, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Sundale Nursing Home.

Joan was born in Morgantown on May 7, 1934, the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian (Marsh) Loughry.

She was a Methodist by faith and a lifelong member of Harner Chapel.

She is survived by her children, Darrell (Deb) Dalton, and Bradly (Cindy) Dalton; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Dalton; grandchildren: Justin (Nicole), Tad (Jennifer), and Josh Dalton; great grandchildren: Emily, Connor, Savannah, and Christian Dalton; brother, Robert "Butch" Loughry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Dalton, son, Jonathan Dalton; sister, Patty (Eugene) Wotring; and grandson, Chris Dalton.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, December 7th at Harner Chapel United Methodist Church, 100 Lucky Lane, Morgantown, from 3-7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday December 8th from 12 p.m. until the time of the Service at 1 p.m. with Pastors Pamela Todd and Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made in her memory to Harner Chapel, 100 Lucky Lane, Morgantown, WV 26501.
