Joann Martin

JoAnn McBee Martin, 68, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Monongalia General Hospital.JoAnn was born in Morgantown on September 14, 1943, the daughter of the late Margaret Martin McBee and Paul Wayne McBee. She graduated from MHS and attended WVU. She retired from Monongalia County Board of Education after 30 years in 2006 as a Family Service Specialist. Nothing made her happier than spending time with friends, family and loved ones and being at the beach. She is survived by her husband Charles Howard Martin, daughter, Terri Jo Martin, two sons Robert Scott Martin and his wife Susan, Erik Robert Martin and his wife Jennifer, her sister Janice McBee and brother-in-law Ben Johnson, niece Kate Johnson, her grandchildren, Randy, Hunter, Greg, Mitch, Mason, Zach, Zane and McKenzie Martin as well as adopted granddaughters Jennifer and Jessika McIe. She is also survived by extended family, Margaret Madden and family, Christina and Pat Rollins, Mary Anne and Jim Seckel, Paul Rice, Kathy and Jennifer Weber.In honoring her wishes, cremations services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, for a Celebration of Life from 12noon-2pm on Sunday, November 6. A private memorial service will be held for the family.
