Joyce Ray Stockett

On Monday, March 23, 2023, Joyce received her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was born on January 18, 1950, in Morgantown, WV., to the late Arnold Ray Snyder and the late Doris Snyder Smith. She graduated from University HIgh School, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, her best friend and the love of her life, Dana Gary Stockett, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2000.

Joyce is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Tracey (Darrin) Neely, Tina (Tim) Piper, Dana Jr. (Bridgette) Stockett, Julie (Jason) Knox, Kerry (Stacy) Riffle, Stacey (Kevin) Staggs and Jason (Jessica) Stockett.

She leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren who were blessed to call her Grandma.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Bud (Debbie) Snyder, Rickey (Sandy) Snyder, Gary (Brenda) Snyder, Robin (Richard) Matthews, Pam (Ron) Robinson and Stephen (Denise) Snyder and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother in law, Cindy and Eugene Eichelberger.

Joyce loved to spend time outdoors with her family, fishing, camping, at sports events and especially chasing the grandchildren around. She never found a beat she wouldn't dance to or a candy bowl she couldn't empty. Joyce, Mom, Grandma, we love you, miss you and you will always be in our hearts.
