Juanita Rebekah âBeckyâ Barnes Godfrey, 83, of Morgantown, went home to be with her Heavenly Father at 3:05a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Monongalia General Hospital after a short illness.Becky was born in Clarksburg on August 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Denzil Evans Barnes and Nelia Virginia Carson Barnes.She was a member of the Sabraton Baptist Church.Becky was a registered nurse having worked at several hospitals in the area. She was a member of the Mason-Union Protestant Nurseâs Alumnae Association, The Red Hat Ladies-Purple Pansies, the Order of the Eastern Star, Victory High School Alumni and the Winola Chapter #51. She is survived by her daughter, Mickey Elaine Godfrey Pringle and husband Lee granddaughters, Angela Pringle Miranov and husband Aaron, Jennifer Pringle Gerrard great-granddaughters, Ava Miranov, Ayla Miranov, Destiny Gerrard and Gracey Gerrard her brother, Robert Paul Barnes and wife, June, her sisters, Romona McIntyre, Carol Martin and husband, Gary, Sondra Dodd and husband, Howard, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Jack Clifford Godfrey, a baby daughter, son Jack C. Godfrey, Jr. sisters, Betty Barnes and Louelle Walsh.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Thursday, September 17th from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue in the Sabraton Baptist Church on Friday, September 18 from 10-11a.m. Funeral services will be held in the church at 11:00a.m.with Rev. Scott Whetzel and Rev. Donald Phares officiating. Entombment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.Donations may be made in her memory to Sabraton Baptist Church, P. O.
