Heaven just recruited our number one fan and biggest cheerleader. Trust us, they don’t know what’s about to hit them.
Judith Gay Keller Sweitzer passed away on April 21, 2025 in Morgantown, WV. She was born on September 2, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the cherished daughter of the late Milton Lawrence Keller and Melissa Jane Keller. She was raised in Brookline, alongside her six siblings.
Some of her most treasured childhood memories were made there, playing ball in the neighborhood streets, laughing with her siblings, and growing up in a close-knit community that shaped the woman she became.
She was preceded in death by her six siblings, Jane Inrig, David Keller, Donald Keller, Patricia Keller De Beauvior, William Keller, and Roger Keller; her beloved son, Michael Pforr; and her dear grandson, Justin Pforr.
Judy made her home in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, where she raised her five children. There, she formed lifelong friendships with her neighbors, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and kindness. Her door was always open, and her heart even more so.
She was a devoted wife and mother, a nurturing grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother, whose greatest joy was her family. Her wisdom guided generations, her stories connected past to present, and her embrace was always a place of comfort. She was 83 years young and strong until the end.
Judy was a woman of many passions: storytelling, caregiving, craftsmanship, reading, laughing until she cried, and she attended any match, game, recital or a reason to bring her folding chair to an event to cheer on her family.
She leaves behind a legacy of endless laughter, a loving husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will in hope to inherit her love for the holidays, gift for storytelling and to keep her memories alive. Judy believed in tough love, gentle hugs, a cup of hot tea and a second dessert. She had a knack for finding joy in the everyday.
She is survived by her husband, David Sweitzer; four children, Missy Pforr (JQ), Matt Pforr (Tammy), Mindy Parks (Randy), Mark Pforr; two stepchildren, Susan Jolliff (Rich), and David Sweitzer Jr.; 10 grandchildren, Chelsea Pforr, Cortney Pforr, Brittany Redmond, Bailey Maraney, Chylee Duritza, Brooke Snyder, Marley Pforr, Jaxon Pforr, Justin Jolliff, and Victoria Jolliff; and 17 great-grandchildren. Each of them carries forward her legacy of resilience, generosity, and unconditional love.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her son, grandson, and the Keller clan, those who went before her, and that her spirit lives on in the family she so dearly loved.
She is strong Proverbs 31:25 describes a woman of virtue, strength and dignity.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
