Junior Beatty

Junior Paul Beatty, 89, of the Cheat Neck Community went to be with the Lord. February 19. 2014. He was a power engineer by trade and also ran the Cheat Neck Water Company from 1975 until retirement 1989. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Merchant Marines from 1942 to 1946. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his family. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Adam Beatty and mother Evelyn Naomi Riley Beatty and brother Edward Eugene Beatty. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Katherine Louise Pickenpaugh Beatty and sister Shirley Ann Blaney and husband Jack Blaney of Myrtle Beach, SC. three siblings Charles Eugene Beatty and wife Mary Alice of Terra Alta, WV. Linda Sue Morrell and husband Joseph Morrell of Piney Flats TN. and Kathy Jaye Wasco and husband William Wasco of Gray, TN. He had six grandchildren, Brendan and Bevin Beatty of Waldorf, MD. Paul Morrell and wife Angie of Alpine, Al. Kimberly Parker and husband Jason of Fort Smith, AR. Matthew Wasco and wife Nicolette of Moyock, NC. and Rachel Wasco of Gray, TN. He also had twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at the Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Friday, February 21st from 4-8 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, February 22nd from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am with Pastor Dana McKenzie officiating.
