Kathryn Davis

Kathryn Rita Davis, 90, of Morgantown, formerly of Mineola, Texas passed away after a short illness Friday, August 13, 2010.She was born October 6, 1919 in Wills Pointe, Texas a daughter of the late Vernon Cecil Stepp and Sally Long Stepp.She loved visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her faithful dog, Ladybug. She had a great imagination and sense of humor, which made her a tremendous storyteller with a great zest for life. At a young age Kathryn was feisty and remained that way refusing to give into her illness. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy DeeVecchio and son-in-law, Michael Vecchio, Sr. and Norma Lisa Ramsey and son-in-law, John Ramsey grandchildren Diane Barill Clawges, Lisa Kay Barill Bohne, Pat Barill, Michael Vecchio, Jr., Michele Vecchio Musick, Melissa Vecchio Cyphert, Matthew Vecchio, and Joshua Ramsey great-grandchildren, Anna Kathryn and Joey Musick, Andrew , Anthony, Katherine (Katie) and Sophia Vecchio, Abigail, Eddie, Samuel, Emma, and Elizabeth Cyphert, Catherine, Kaleb and Kayleigh Bohne, Davis, Payton and Sidney Barill and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Davis her daughter, Joan Barill & her son-in-law, Patsy Barill and her siblings, Vernon C. Stepp, Jr., Edith Stepp Lingo and two infant brothers.The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Mapleshire Nursing Home for their wonderful care. Mrs. Davisâs wishes for cremation have been honored by her family. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life will be held at the home of her daughter, Kathy Vecchio, at 23 Cherrywood Lane, Morgantown at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 22.
