Kathy Jean Squarcette Custer, 60, of, Star City, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Morgantown on March 20, 1955, the daughter of Nellie Reppy Squarcette the late Peter Squarcette. Kathy was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Star City. She graduated Morgantown High School in 1973, and started working at First Federal Savings and Loan. She later went on to work at the Dominion Post to continue her career. Kathy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Andrea Taylor-Mullenax and husband Steve; sons Ian Custer wife Nichole and Nathan Custer; brother, Tim Squarcette; brother-in-law, Bill Custer and wife Isla; sister-in-law, Ann Mayle husband Jim; granddaughters, Aubrie, Emilia, Gabrielle, Kya; grandsons, Zach, Jeremy, and Joey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Custer; maternal and paternal grandparents; mother-in-law and father- in- law, Aubrey and Doris Custer; sister-in-law, Linda Squarcette and many uncles and aunts. The family would like to extend a special thanks to sister Rachel from St. Marys and Trish Shreve Family and friends will be received at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Star City on Sunday, November 29th from 3-5 and 6-8p.m. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 7:30p.m. to conclude the evening service. Visiting will continue again on Monday, Nov. 30th from 10a.m until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m with Fr. John V. DiBacco as celebrant.
