Kenneth Charles Weber

Kenneth Charles Weber, 84, of Morgantown, WV passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at his home. He was born in Cold Spring, MN, on June 30, 1937, son of the late Christian and Laura (Stein) Weber. After a satisfying and fulfilling career that included teaching and researching respiratory lung diseases, he retired with the title of Kenneth C. Weber, Ph.D, NIOSH, CDC, Chief, Laboratory Investigations Branch, in Morgantown, WV. Ken was surrounded by family and friends during his career and throughout his life. He was known to be caring, compassionate, intelligent and generous with his time and support. He never met a stranger. He was involved with sports throughout his life and even at the very end continued to enjoy watching sports on TV and attending Mountaineer athletic events when possible. He was an avid fisherman and loved Canada fishing trips with family. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Reamer) Weber; sons, Charles (Chuck) and spouse Carmela Weber; Gerald (Gerry) and spouse Ann Krepps Weber; daughter, Terry and spouse Tee Sigley; step-son Edward (Eddie) and spouse Melissa Kent. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jim Laurita, III; Joey Choma; C.J. Weber; Alex Weber; Laura Bruzelius; Melissa Dodrill; Matthew Weber; Daryl Shockey; Amy Eze; Teanna Trump; Celeste Kent Cahill; and Ian Kent. Many of these grandchildren also have spouses or partners and children of their own so he has multiple great-grandchildren which are a very special part of his legacy. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha Mae Weber, and daughter, Patty Choma. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Hastings Funeral Home is entrusted with cremation arrangements and inurnment will take place at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
