Kurt Allen Brumbaugh

Kurt Allen Brumbaugh, 55, of Morgantown, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 3, 1970, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Kurt was the son of the late John and Mary Gail Brumbaugh. Kurt pursued his passion for mathematics at the University of Nebraska, earning both his undergraduate and master's degrees in the field.

In 1999, Kurt relocated to Morgantown where he built a fulfilling life over the past 26 years. For the last 15 years, he was a dedicated statistician at Mylan Pharmaceuticals, contributing significantly to the company's research and development efforts.

Kurt is survived by his loving wife, Michele (West) and their three children: Connor, Kayla, and Anthony; and siblings, Nancy Brumbaugh and Sandy (Kirk) Vance and nieces Lauren Bayne, Lisa (Vance) Howard, and Kristin (Vance) Desel and 6 grand nieces and nephews.

Kurt was a devoted husband and father, always placing his family's well-being at the forefront. Kurt's legacy is one of love, dedication, and intellectual curiosity. Aside from his family, Kurt's passions included Nebraska football, golfing with "the gang", traveling to warm islands for the holidays, and attending all family reunions. Kurt was known as a loyal and fierce friend, always extending a hand to those in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV 26505, on Monday, April 14th from 5 – 8 pm and again on Tuesday, April 15th from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 pm with Pastor Larry Buckland officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
