Larry Allen Grimes, Jr. 47, of Morgantown, passed away at home on Thursday, December 15, 2011. He was born at the St. Vincent Pallotti Hospital in Morgantown on September 16, 1964, the son of Larry Grimes, Sr. and Linda Austin Grimes. He moved to Paulsboro, NJ where he lived for 40 years before moving back to Morgantown. He loved the Mountaineers, the Philadelphia Eagles and riding his 4-wheeler. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Theresa Grimes of Morgantown, two nephews, he dearly loved Edward and Brian Johnson of Morgantown, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins in Morgantown and NJ. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Austin and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Grimes, his uncles Jerry and Gary Grimes, his aunt Joyce Giles and his favorite dog Drake. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 1-2:30pm on Sunday, December 18. At 2:30pm Rev. Jerry Grimes will have a time of sharing. Hastings Funeral Home will honor Larryâs wishes and provide cremation services. Inurnment will follow at a later date.
