Lena Rose Bond, 94, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Sundale Nursing Home of Morgantown, WV.Lena Rose was born in Georges Township, Fayette County, PA on September 5, 1917, the daughter of the late Frank and Annabelle Victor Miller. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. She worked for the late Dr. Carl Johnson. Many people in town recognized her because of her 32 years of employment there. She worked for him until his retirement. She then worked for Valley Community Mental Health until her retirement at the age of 70. She was the past president of the Morgantown Quota Club and was a lifetime member of the Monongalia General Hospital Auxiliary. She was also proud of being a founding member of the Clinton District Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family. Reunions and picnics were her favorite events. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Godwin of Morgantown, a grandson, Joseph E. Antonini and wife, Janet of Morgantown, great-grandsons, Blake and Ryan Antonini, step-grandchildren, Terry Godwin and wife Sara, Todd Godwin and wife Beth, Stacy Godwin, and Tracy Godwin, step-great-grandchildren, Tyler, Allison, Matthew, Christopher and Trevor Godwin and Zoie McNeill, several cousins, nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Kenneth Bond of FL, and sister-in-law, Mildred Noechel of VA.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest E. Bond in 1968, brothers, William, Harry, Lawrence, Ralph, Edgar and Wayne Miller, and an infant brother, Charles. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, and again from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, March 30. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Friday with Pastor Ann Crawford officiating. Interment will be held at Lawnwood Cemetery.
