Leonard Mckinley Cope

Leonard M. Cope, 54, of Morgantown, passed away after a sudden illness on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Leonard was born on December 22, 1969, the son of Bonita Helmick and the late Howard William Johnson.

Leonard will be missed by many people.

In addition to his mother, Leonard is survived by his daughters, Cherril Cope; Madison Cope; Ashlee Allen; Ariel Cope; son, Nathaniel Cope; aunt, Cynthia Matthews; seven grandchildren, three siblings, and many friends, especially his best friend Rick Walker.

In addition to his father, Leonard is preceded in death by his grandparents, a brother, and a grandson.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Following the visitation, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.
