Linda Carol George Hill, 66, of Fairchance Road, Morgantown, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Elkins Hospice In-Patient Center of Elkins, WV. She was born in Newark, NJ on August 14, 1948, a daughter of Frank George who survives her in New Jersey, and the late Gloria (Bellack) George. Survivors include her two daughters, Keri DeMasi with whom she made her home, and Brianne Hill of Boston, MA; two granddaughters who she completely adored, Bella and Sophia DeMasi; and one brother, Peter George of New Jersey. Linda was a one-of-a-kind, positive and outgoing person who believed that “attitude was 99% of the battle.” Because of her outgoing, fun-loving, positive nature, everyone who met her instantly became her friend. She was always willing to help anyone in need, and was truly altruistic in nature – giving freely to everyone without any expectation of reciprocation. Her friends and family will remember her for her curiosity for new experiences and adventures. She was a very crafty, creative and witty person who enjoyed traveling, and spending good, quality time with her family and friends so that she could make long lasting memories to enjoy and laugh about. Linda’s wishes to be cremated have been honored by her family. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown is assisting the family with the arrangements. Send condolences online at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com
