Lois Nell "Boots" Lee, 87, of Morgantown, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown Boots was born in Pursglove, WV on June 12, 1926, the daughter of the late Gordon Ware and the late Bonnie (Wilson) Ware Spicer. Survivors include her three children, Daniel Robert Lee and his wife Gigi of Morgantown, Michael Douglas Lee of Waynesburg, PA and Cynthia Kristin Mansberger and her husband Allen of Masontown, WV; her grandchildren, Michael Douglas "Doug" Lee, Heather Michelle Mansberger, Apryl Lee, Nathan Thomas Lambert, Kristin Michelle Lee Vernon, Jessica Renee Mansberger Fitch and her husband Dane, Joshua Michael Mansberger and Hannah Elizabeth Mansberger; six great-grandchildren; three siblings, Jean V. Nels of Morgantown, Jonette Workman of Pennsylvania, and Robert R. Ware and his wife Anne of Florida and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Maxine Graft, and twins Ralph and Ray Spicer. Boots was a strong, hard-working woman who worked until the age of 77 when she retired from the Boston Beanery. Prior to this, she worked at Suburban Lanes for 20 years. She was a wonderful cook who was famous for her chicken chowder, and burgers and fries. She was loved by everyone. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. At the age of 60 she became a Christian at New Life Ministries under Pastor Clara Wilkins. The family respectfully asks everyone to join them in a celebration of Boots' life at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Sunday, January 5th from 6-8 PM, Monday, January 6th from 4-8 PM and Tuesday, January 7th from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM with Pastor Joe and Rena Perozich officiating.
