Lynn Bucy

Lynn Rae Bucy, 54, of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 in her residence. Lynn was born in Morgantown on November 13, 1956, the daughter of the late George Katchur and the late Kathleen Andrews. She grew up and lived in Morgantown. Lynn graduated Morgantown High School was a Deanâs List student at WVU. She was the first certified Histologist in Pathology at WVU Hospital. Lynn enjoyed sports, playing in local summer softball leagues with friends and colleagues, and also loved the outdoors, spending summers swimming and boating on Cheat Lake and Tygart River with her family. A worshipper of the beach, she carved out a week most summers to take a family trip to Myrtle Beach. She was an animal lover, with a particular soft spot for abused animals. Above all, she was a mother, and as a single mother gracefully undertook the extraordinary effort of raising and supporting her children and devoting her little free time to cultivating her childrenâs pursuits and their happiness. She is survived by her children, Lindsay Bucy of Morgantown, Dana Wilson and her husband Bryan of Annapolis, MD and Drew Bucy of Washington DC, a brother, Bryan Katchur, as well as a niece and nephew.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and best friend, Bradley Katchur. A private graveside burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
