Margaret Lucille Citro

Margaret “Peggy” Lucille Citro, 94, formerly of Washington, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at her home.

She was born on January 24, 1927, in Washington, PA, the daughter of the late Gustav and Bessie (Welch) Bauer.

Peggy was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Michael B. Citro, Jr., and Russell G. Citro; grandchildren: Michael Morris, Jennifer Citro, Nicholas Citro, Summer Citro, Madison Citro and Evan Citro; great grandchildren: Pantara, Jeffrey, Laya and Tyler; and her sister, Delores Gilmore.

In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael B. Citro, Sr.; son, Mark G. Citro; and her 5 siblings.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 4 – 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, One Guthrie Lane, Morgantown, on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati, STD, VE as celebrant. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Washington, PA.
