Margaret Gainer

Margaret R. Gainer (nee Pyecha), 88 of Arvada, Colorado passed away at Collier Hospice in Wheat Ridge, Colorado following a short illness on Tuesday, October 9th. A service will be held at the East Oak Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, Morgantown, West Virginia on Thursday, October 18th at 1:30 pm officiated by Rev. Dr. John Allen. Interment at East Oak Grove Cemetery will follow the service. Margaret was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on October 1, 1924 and attended Morgantown High School. She was a former employee of the Morgan Shirt Factory in West Virginia before moving to Arvada, Colorado with her husband. She retired from A.G. Eaker Co. of Colorado after 20 years of service as a sales clerk. Margaret was a wonderful cook, housekeeper, she loved to sew, and travel with her husband. She was a beloved sister and loving Aunt. Margaret was the daughter of the late Michael Pyecha and Julia Pyecha (nee Libak). In addition, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Gainer in 1997. She was the youngest of 18 siblings, 5 of whom died near or during childbirth. Margaret was predeceased by her brothers and their wives, Michael and Hazel, Charles and Helen, Andrew and Josephine, Steve and Ruth Pyecha, and brothers George and John Pyecha her sisters and their husbands, Mary and Meredith Ball, Ann and Romeo Cassi, Helen and Frank Benkovsky, and Julie and Paul Williams.She is survived by her loving brother, Peter Pyecha and his partner Joan Page. Also, her sister-in-laws, Ann Pyecha and Pat Pyecha Kleitch, more than 3 generations of 100 nieces and nephews including Bonnie Abrams and Mary Beam, who cared for her in her final weeks, as well as Norma DeWitt whom Margaret helped to raise, and Dona Thompson, a cousin to her late husband and a good friend and care giver. The family would like to thank the staff at Ashley Manor and Collier Hospice for their loving care, as well as her neighbors for keeping a watchful eye over her for many years. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to your favorite charity in her memory would be appreciated.
