Marie Williams

Marie George Williams, 86, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Marie was born in Beckley on August 21, 1924, the daughter of the late Eric C. and Vivian Hagee George.She had been employed for many years as Supervisor of Admissions at West Virginia University Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, needlepoint and reading. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by many. She is survived by her children Suzanne Williams of Las Cruces, NM, Les Williams and wife, Linda of Lancaster, CA, Janet Antonini and husband, Joe of Morgantown, her son-in-law, Kent Zachar, of Morgantown, her sister, Pat Bruce of Augusta, GA her grandchildren Lisa Hamilton of Pittsburgh, PA, Les Williams and wife, Carrie of Montgomery, TX, Lacey Williams and wife, Kellie of Lancaster, CA, Kristine Zachar, Aaron Zachar, Blake Antonini and Ryan Antonini all of Morgantown, great-grandchildren, Olivia Hamilton, Taylor and Hunter Williams and Leslie and Lauren Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie H. Williams, Jr., a daughter, Nancy Zachar and a brother, Eric George. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 5-8pm on Friday, September 10. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 11, at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
