It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marsha Gillis, who left this world on February 14, 2025 at the age of 69. She was a devoted and loving grandmother, and friend whose legacy of compassion, strength, and selflessness will live on in all who knew her.

For many years Marsha was a caregiver, offering her heart and hands to those in need. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, and she touched countless lives through her unwavering dedication to helping others. Whether it was caring for the elderly, opening her home for foster children, supporting a friend through difficult times, or simply offering a listening ear, she had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen and valued.

Her life was a testament to the power of kindness, and she was the rock upon which our family was built. She gave us her love, wisdom, and the strength to face life’s challenges with grace. In her, we saw not only a mother but a role model who showed us the true meaning of unconditional love and sacrifice.

Marsha leaves behind a family who will cherish her memory forever, including her children Windie Freeman and Sean Gillis, her grandchildren, Destiney Freeman, Raven Freeman, Collin Gillis, Jayden Gillis and many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to UNICEF a cause dear to Marsha’s heart or consider doing a random act of kindness in her memory.
