Martha Sturba

Martha Cecelia Sturba, 69, of Mississippi Street, Morgantown, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Monongalia General Hospital.Martha was born in Morgantown on September 10, 1939, a daughter of the late Howard and Catherine Yoak McIntyre.Her life was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was a very loving and giving person who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Julie Ann Sturba Walter and companion Ed Hetrick, John Anthony Sturba and his wife Mary Anne, and Michael Howard Sturba and his wife Charlotte all of Morgantown her son-in-law, Adam Becker of Woodstock, MD six brothers and sisters, Maxine Solt and her husband George of Morgantown, Robert McIntyre and his wife Shirley of Newburg Thelma Stone and her husband Michael of Morgantown, Mary Roy and her husband Larry, Billie Jo Osecky and her husband Jeff, and Scott McIntyre all of Morgantown nine grandchildren, Alex Becker, Ben Becker, Angela Quillian, Anthony Walter, Cathy Walter, Mary Raudenbush and her husband Evan, Corissa Greer, Sarah Sturba, Joseph Sturba two great grandchildren, Hayes Raudenbush and Dante Raudenbush and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband Giulio Sturba, April 7, 1979 and one daughter, Patricia Becker.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Tuesday, July 28th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and again on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Father Leon Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery.
