Mary Jean Cianfrocco

Mary Jean Keechel Cianfrocco, 80, a lifelong resident of Westover, passed away peacefully Friday, April 10, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. “Jean,” as she was known by family and friends, was born October 2, 1934 to the late C. Edward & Margaret K. McCreery Keechel. She was a 1953 graduate of University High School and was a loving homemaker. Jean was an avid fan of the Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Pirates. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved dressing up at Halloween and decorating her home for the holidays. Jean is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas J.; daughters Kathy Foster and husband Rex of Vienna, WV and MaryAnn Boczek of Morgantown; son Thomas of Westover; a brother, Bill Keechel and wife Alice; sisters-in-law Rosemary Cianfrocco and Clara (Sam) Scordato, and brother-in-law Vincent Cianfrocco. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Lauren Boczek, Kara Boczek, Hillary Foster and Kyle Foster; nieces, Heather Keechel and Billie Jo Sroka; nephew Michael Scordato and wife Daphne, as well as great-nieces Macie, Allie and Anna Marie, and an aunt, Jane Muha. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Monday, April 13th from 6-8 PM; Tues., April 14th from 1-3 & 6-8 PM and on Weds., April 15th from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM with Pastor Jim Weber officiating. She will be laid to rest in the East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown.
