Mary Lojewski

Mary Lojewski, 100, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Mary was born in Duninow, Poland on November 29, 1908, the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Zielinski.She retired from housekeeping at West Virginia University Hospital in 1973. She is survived by her daughter, Helen Kalo, her grandchildren Karen and Thomas Ghiardi, Nanette and Michael Gaspar, Stephanie and Richard Buck, Michael and Laurie Kalo and John and Annette Lojewski, 16 great-grandchildren, a daughter in law, Shirley Lojewski, one nephew, Joe Zielinski two nieces, Vickie Zielinski and Sharon Sook and several great nieces and great nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lojewski her daughter, Irene Lojewski her son, John Lojewski, a son-in-law, Joseph Kalo, Jr., two brothers and a sister. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Thursday, October 15 from 6-9p.m. Prayer services will be held 8:30pm at the funeral home on Thursday. Visitation will continue at St.Maryâs Catholic Church on Friday, October 16 from 10-11a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the church at 11:00 AM with Father John V. DiBacco as Celebrant. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown.Donations may be made in Maryâs memory to St. Maryâs Catholic Church, 3344 University Ave., Morgantown, WV 26505.
