Mary Magdalene Ayersman

Magdalene “Maggie” Keener Ayersman, 92, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Sundale Nursing Home of Morgantown, WV. She was born on October 25, 1922, the daughter of the late Charles Keener and the late Grace Pearl (Summers) Keener. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ayersman. Mrs. Ayersman attended both Burns Chapel and Nicholson Chapel Churches during her lifetime. She worked for many years at a Beauty Salon and loved being around people, especially her grandchildren. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School, member of the VIP Group and loved playing the piano. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Kay Palmer and Sandra Densmore, both of Morgantown; grandchildren, Jim Palmer and his wife Glenda, Ricky Palmer, Tab Densmore and his wife Lora, and Tracy Danser and her husband Scott, all of Morgantown. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Wilbert, Clarence, Clifford, and Page Keener and Leona Uphold and Gertrude Taylor. Friends and family will be received at the Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Tuesday, May 19th from 5-8 PM and again on Wednesday, May 20th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Reverend Gary Blosser officiating. A Committal Service will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV on Thursday, May 21st at 10 AM.
