Mary Ann Phillips

Mary Ann Kelly Phillips passed in Jane Lew WV on April 16, 2025.

Mary Ann was born in Morgantown WV on October 2, 1933. Her parents were Frank M. Kelly and Anne Cornelius Kelly. She graduated from Morgantown High School in 1951, later attending WVU for a few years while working for the Alumni Association.

She met the love of her life G. Richard Phillips, they were married December 4, 1960. She and Dick had DP Photographic in Westover. She also worked in retail for many years starting with Stone & Thomas, Elder Beerman, then finally at BonTons.

In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, cross-stitch and the occasional martini to end the day. She enjoyed collecting bears and watering cans.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dick, her dear brother Jerry and her son Rick.

Those left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory are daughters, Mary Elaine "Marti" Watkins (Jim), Sharon Lee Cruikshank (Steve); grandchildren, Morgan Ryan Cruikshank, Mary Elizabeth Watkins (Jared Trusso), Michael Roy Cruikshank (Casey); great grandchildren, Madeliene Rey and Luthian Victoria; sister-in-law, Gloria Kelly; nephew, Mike Kelly; nieces, Christy Yaffe (Peter), Linda Milovich (David); and nephew, Scott Phillips (Laurie).

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
