Mary Leota Trader, 87, Canton Avenue, Star City, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009, at her home.She was born July 5, 1922 in Star City, a daughter of the late Floyd F. and Mollah Jeffries St.Clair.Mary graduated from Morgantown High School and attended Morgantown Business College. After her retirement from the former Wilson Chevrolet Company where she worked in the office she did volunteer work at Sundale Nursing Home and at the crippled childrenâs clinic.She was a member of the Suncrest United Methodist Church and was a member of the Minnie Kinnan Circle of the church. Also, she was a 58 year member and past president of the Womanâs Club of Morgantown, a former member of the Mon General Hospital Auxiliary, the Easton Avery CEO Club, the Mon Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, the Senior Monongalians and Mended Hearts #209. Mary is survived by her husband, John a daughter Cynthia Pritts and spouse Dennis of Mechanicsville, VA two sons, John Trader, Jr and spouse Nancy of Morgantown, and Charles . Trader and spouse Charlotte of Edenton, NC six grandchildren, Carol Barton, Cheri Trader, Christine Trader, Charles Trader, Jr., Cory and Carrie Pritts three great-grandchildren, Amber Hamrick, Jeffrey Sypolt, and Daniel Pritts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, an infant Clyde, Clarence, and Dwight St. Clair. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Visitation will continue at Suncrest United Methodist Church from 10-11a.m on Thursday, Sept. 24. Funeral service will be held in the church at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Rev. William R. Kinsey officiating. Entombment services will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens at 1:00p.m Thursday.Donations may be made in Maryâs memory to the Suncrest United Methodist Church, 479 Van Voorhis Road, Morgantown, WV 26505.
