Matthew George Bellman

Matthew George Bellman, 36, of Morgantown, passed away early Monday, May 25, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Morgantown on August 9, 1978, the son of Steven and Kandance (Geller) Bellman, with whom he made his home. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son and the light of his life, Rylee Fisher Bellman; five siblings, Robin Yost and husband Tom, Kevin Bellman and wife Amanda, Eric Bellman, Adam Bellman and Stephanie Bellman Gunnoe all of Morgantown; seven nieces and nephews, and his paternal grandmother, Shirley Bellman of Morgantown. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William “Bill” Bellman; and his maternal grandparents, George and Roxanne Geller. Matthew had an affinity for the water. This was present in his love for being on the lake, and his passion for fishing that he held. He also enjoyed cooking and had a definitive gift for conversation. His smile, his dimples and his laugh will be sorely missed be everyone who knew and loved him. Matthew’s wishes for cremation are being honored by his family. There will be no public services or viewing at his request, and private gathering of family and close friends will be held at a later date.
