Maxine Inez (Dean) Plum

Maxine Inez (Dean) Plum, 96, of Morgantown, entered heaven on Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born on May 18, 1925 near Bergoo, WV, daughter of the late Kemper and Vandie (Dodrill) Dean. Maxine graduated from Nicholas County High School. She went on to marry Paul H. Plum in 1946 and they owned a small farm near Morgantown. Maxine thoroughly enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, bowling and squirrel hunting. She was a member of Sabraton Baptist Church for over 60 years. She is survived by her sisters, Agatha Mullins and Minnie Dean and her dear friend and caregiver, Donald L. Newlon and nephew, Paul Waren Dean. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by his husband, Paul, and brother, Easil Dean. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made in Maxine’s memory to Sabraton Baptist Church, 1641 Sabraton Avenue, Morgantown, WV 26508. Graveside services will begin at East Oak Grove Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021, with Pastor Stephen Dodrill officiating.
