Melanie Marie Gardner

Melanie Marie Gardner, 32, of Morgantown, passed away on October 3, 2023. She was born May 10, 1991, the daughter of the late Donald Gardner Jr.

Melanie worked in the healthcare field and will always be remembered for her kindness and compassion for others.

Melanie enjoyed fishing, camping, and outdoor activities. She was an amazing, beautiful woman with a contagious laugh, a radiant smile, and a heart of gold.

Melanie was a daughter, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter, and mother, as well as a friend to so many. Her memory will live on in all those who knew her.

Melanie is survived by her son Levi Yost-Lewellen; parents, Dorothy and Jerry Darnell; sisters, Nicole Gardner and fiancé Daryle Fallings; Jessica Darnell and fiancé Joshua Swihart; and Rebekka Bissett and partner, Colby White; grandparents, Bonnie Lukehart, Donald and Donna Gardner; as well as several uncles, nieces, nephews, and aunts, including her best friend, Aunt Tissa.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Lukehart, and her uncle, Bob Lukehart.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Thursday, November 16th from 2pm – 8pm, and again on Friday, November 17th from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Fletcher Cemetery.
