Melva "Chris" Christine Sanders

Melva "Chris" Christine Sanders, 62, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at her home.

Chris was born on March 8, 1962, the daughter of the late Waymond and Mabel Dalton, Sr.

In her free time, Chris enjoyed doing different crafts and crossword puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Chris is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Randy Sanders, Sr.; daughters, Wendy Murray (Wesley) and Amanda Sanders; son, Randy Sanders, Jr. (Angela); her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Shaelynn Sanders and Liam Liston; brother, Ronnie Dalton (Carol); sister, Gloria Nester (Danny); and sister-in-law, Terri "Sue" Dalton.

In addition to her parents, Chris is preceded in death by her two brothers Rob Dalton and Dennis Dalton.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the WVU hospice for their loving care during a difficult time.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Wednesday, August 21, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at noon with Pastor Shawn Davis, Jr. officiating. Following the funeral service, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Davis Cemetery at a later date.
